The Hitches Up Receiver System is a hitch storage solution built specifically for heavy-duty drop hitches. Instead of forcing oversized hitches into flimsy storage brackets, Hitches Up was engineered from the start to handle the weight, size, and strength demands of real towing equipment.
Fabricated from 7-gauge A36 HRPO steel — where sheet metal transitions into true plate stock — the system is built to be as tough as the trucks and hitches it’s designed to work with.
Simple, Secure Operation
Using Hitches Up feels instantly familiar. Your trailer hitch slides into standard receiver geometry positioned conveniently above the tailgate. Once secured with your hitch pin and anti-rattle hand screw, the entire assembly swings smoothly into the stored position on heavy-duty hinges.
When closed, an indexing plunger automatically latches, locking the system securely until you need it again.
Designed for Real Truck Use
In the stored position, the hitch sits tight against the bedside between the wheel well and tailgate, keeping it out of the way of most cargo and everyday truck bed use.
If you ever need the full bed space back, lift-off hinges allow the receiver bracket to be removed in seconds — no tools required.
Everything is accessed from behind the tailgate, so you’ll never have to climb into the truck bed or wrestle a heavy hitch out from under seats again.
Easy Installation
The Hitches Up Receiver System installs in about 30 minutes. For Dodge RAM models some drilling is required to create mount points on the rear corner column in the box. Once complete bolt the brackets in place and you’re ready to store and access your hitch with ease.
